Phase II – WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Here's what Phase II entails:

1. Widen carrels to better accommodate both books and laptops. All carrels will be enlarged to 50” wide to more easily accommodate student laptops in addition to the their books.

2. Build an environmentally controlled special collections room to better protect and feature Law Library special collections, with a grand reading room that will provide additional carrels and tables for study space in a beautiful atmosphere.
Books and manuscripts from the Law School’s historic special collections will be preserved and displayed in an area in which temperature and humidity can be carefully monitored and controlled.

3. Create individual and group study rooms with enhanced soundproofing and connectivity. Group rooms are designed to enhance the study group experience, featuring SMART Board technology that can connect to multiple laptops or handheld devices simultaneously.

4. Upgrade library seating with fully ergonomic models. Traditional library chairs will be replaced by fully ergonomic models to allow students to comfortably study, write, and compute.
